Dimplex HTN20BL Horton Black Electric Fire

Before buying this fire I was a bit doubtful as to how realistic it would be. I have an LCD TV and have placed it above the fireplace and was concerned about the heat from the gas fire damaging the screen so opted for the Horton fire.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Optiflame Plus effect which is extremely convincing.
The model I bought was the Horton Black, it is very well built and finished to a high standard.
I would recommend this fire without hesitation if you already have a fireplace opening into which it can be fully recessed.
The only downsides are the slight motor noise from the flame effect - although after a very short while you do not notice it, also replacing the bulbs involves removing the loose coals which is a bit fiddly.
In conclusion this fire is excellent value for money, if the lamp replacement had been easier I would have given it 10 out of 10
